GREYTOWN
BASKETBALL AND RUGBY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Greytown and Martinborough District High School Rugby and basketball teams met at Greytown yesterday afternoon. The Greytown Rugby team defeated Martinborough by 13 points to 8. The Greytown 'A basketball team won by 9 to 5, while the Greytown B team lost by 4 to 12. BRIGADE DONATIONS. The secretary of the Greytown Volunteer Fire Brigade acknowledges with thanks the following honorary members’ subscriptions:—Messrs H. Walden, John Hodge, W. E. Everett, F. Wood. ANNUAL GOLF MATCH. The Greytown Golf Club will pay their annual visit to Waiwetu at the week-end. MEETING LAPSES. Only the Press representative attended the meeting called for last night at the request of the executive of the National Women’s and Children’s Convalescent Home, Rotorua. FOOTBALLER’S INJURIES. Mr W. Clarke," who had his hand injured in the football match between Gladstone and Greytown, has found it necessary to enter the Greytown Hospital for treatment, an X-ray examination disclosing several broken bones.
