CARTERTON

FOOTBALL CLUB’S DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Carterton Club’s annual ball on Monday night was a most successful function, there being a large attendance. The M.C.’s were Messrs J. Steffert, J. Duffy and G. Udy and the secretaries Messrs A. Lane and J. Taucher. It is expected that ;he profit to the club as the result of the dance will be about £lB. HEADMASTER TRANSFERRED. Mr D. A. McPherson, headmaster of the Carterton District High School, will leave tomorrow to take up a new appointment under the Auckland Education Board. Mr H. T. Leete, first assistant in the secondary department, will be in charge of the school until a new headmaster is appointed.
