REORGANISATION PLANS IN BRITAIN CO-ORDINATION OF RESEARCH AND PRODUCTION. SOME CHANGES IN EXECUTIVE STAFF. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Copyright. RUGBY, June 27. A reorganisation at the Air Ministry with a vievz to unifying control and responsibility for the development and production of aircraft was announced in the House of Commons today by the Air Minister, Sir Kingsley Wood, who said that the present air member for research and development, Air Marshal Sir Wilfred Freeman, would in future be responsible for production as well as development and research. To enable him to carry out his increased duties he would have the assistance of a director-general of production and a director-general of research and development. Mr E. J. H. Lemon, vice-president of the London, Midland and Scottish Railway, would be director-general of production, assisted by a staff with engineering and technical qualifications, and would become a member of the Air Council. Air Vice-Marshal A. W. Tedde would be director-general of research and development.
