A lawyer in court occupied a long time with a speech, which was exceedingly dull. Someone who had left the courtroom and returned again after a lengthy interval found the harangue still going on. Turning to the person beside him he said. "Is not Mr B— taking up a great deal of time?” "Time?" said the one addressed. ‘'He has long ago exhausted time and encroached upon eternity."
