DEATH OF MR E. V. LUCAS, (Recd This Day, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON, June 26. The death has occurred of E. V. Lucas. Edward Verrail Lucas, C.H. 1932, was a prolific essayist writer on a variety of subjects. He was chairman of Methuen and Co, publishers; a member of the Royal Commission on Historical Monuments (England) since 1928; a member of the Crown Lands Advisory Committee 1933; Hon L.L.D. St Andrews University; Hon D.Litt. Oxon.
