WIN FOR BLOMFIELD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, June 26. Before a packed house in the Town Hall on Saturday evening Lofty Blomfield scored a win on points in a wrestling match against Andy Moen. Each man secured a fall, Moen in the fifth round with a body press after a series of twisted headlock spins, and Blomfield in the sixth with a body press following jolts and dumps. The decision was given by the referee and two judges. It was a bout which kept the crowd excited from beginning to end and the result was popular. FARLEY DEFEATS HILL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DANNEVIRKE, June 26. In a spirited bout of solid wrestling devoid of showmanship at the Town Hall last night, Fraley defeated Hill by a fall gained in the fifth round when he applied a spectacular flying toehold after side-stepping a flying tackle. Both men exhibited a variety of holds, Fraley impressing as the stronger man. Hill earned frequent applause by his agility and the manner in which he broke from Fraley’s holds. KENNEDY BEATEN BY RAINES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) GISBORNE, June 26. Raines beat Kennedy on points in a moderate display of wrestling characterised by rough tactics.
