STANCROFT CASE
-9 DECISION OF SUPREME COURT AT GIBRALTAR. (Recd This Day, 10.55 a.m.) GIBRALTAR. June 24. The Chief Justice, holding that the Supreme Court at Gibraltar had no jurisdiction, set aside a writ whereby the Crown claimed condemnation of the discharged cargo from the Stancroft, also a warrant for arrest. The Court disallowed defendants’ costs, but did not order delivery of the goods.
