FEILDING SALE. FIRM PRICES FOR FAT SHEEP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, June 24. Firm prices prevailed for fat sheep at today's Feilding sale, all lines selling with fair competition. Store sheep opened well and indications were that values would be maintained. For store cattle the demand was quiet, with an inquiry for good cattle. Boner cows again commanded attention. Dairy stock sold at unchanged prices. Prices ranged as follows: — Fat sheep: Lambs, prime heavy 22s 9d to 28s 9d, second quality 30s to 21s 6d, lighter 18s 3d to 19s 9d, others 15s to 17s 9d; heavy wethers 26s 6d to 27s 6d, medium prime 25s to 265, others 21s 6d to 24s 6d; fat ewes, heavy, 16s 6d to 19s. Store sheep: Two-tooth ewes 28s to 37s 6d (for a very good pen), fiveyear 25s 9d, five and six-year 19s 6d to 21s 6d, m.a. 17s to 225; two-tooth wethers 20s. Store cattle: Boner cows,, heavy 41s to £4 10s, others £2 to £3 15s; forward Holstein cows £5 to £5 2s 6d; Hereford cows £4 17s 6d; P.A. steers and heifers £2 Is 6d to £2 15s; empty heifers £2 Is 6d to £2 15s; weaner heifers, £2 7s 6d.

Dairy cattle: Springing heifers, best £7 to £9, late calvers £4 5s to £6 12s 6d; springing cows, good £B, others £4 to £6. Fat cattle: Good ox, £lO 6s; Hereford heifers, prime heavy, £8 to £8 15s; P.A. heifers, £7 16s to £8 2s 6d; P.A. cows, light £4 17s 6d, weighty to £6 10s. Poultry: Hens Is lOd to 3s 3d; pullets 3s 3d to 4s 6d; cockerels 2s 6d to 3s 6d; ducks 2s 3d to 3s 3d. Pigs: Weaners 6s to 15s; stores 17s to £1 4s 6d; porkers £1 18s. CARTERTON SALE. PIGS IN GOOD DEMAND. Wright, Stephenson and Co., Ltd., report:—A small yarding of sheep and pigs and a good yarding of cattle came forward at our Carterton sale yesterday and was offered to a fair attendance. Springing heifers sold on a par with late rates, while fat cattle were, if anything, slightly easier. All classes of pigs were in good demand. We report practically a total clearance under the hammer at the following prices:— Sheep: Forward B.F. 2-ths to 17s 6d; store ewes, to 10s. Cattle: Springing heifers, £5 17s 6d, £7 15s to £8; cow just calved, to £8 15s; empty Jersey heifers, to £3 10s; fat cows, £4 15s to £5 4s; spg. cows, £6 to £6 15s; fat maiden heifers, £5 10s to £6 15s; fwd. cows, £3 to £4 ss; store cows, 35s to £2 10s. Pigs: Weaners, 10s to Ils 6d; slips, 14s 6d to 15s; store pigs, 24s 6d to 26s 6d; light porkers, 29s 6d to 32s 6d; porkers, 35s 6d to £2 2s 6d; choppers, to 355.
