NOISY DRUNKENNESS
MOTOR DRIVER SENT TO GAOL FOR SIX WEEKS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. George Ronald Dobson, aged 25, a motor driver, pleaded guilty today to drunkenness, and not guilty to assaulting Constable V. G. Harkins. The case arose out of a fight put up by defendant after his arrest for noisy drunkenness in South Wellington. Accused was convicted on the first charge and for the assault sentenced to six weeks’ imprisonment with hard labour.
