Scriven (Britain) defeated Miss Scott, 6/3, 6/4. In the women’s doubles, second round, Mrs R. Mathieu (France) and Miss A. M. Yorke (Great Britain) defeated- Miss M. R. Couquerque (Holland) and Miss Wheeler, 6/3, 6/3. In the mixed doubles, second round, H. Henkel (Germany) and Mrs Fabyan (U.S.A.) defeated Geelhand and Mlle. J. de Meulemeester (Belgium), 6/3, 4/6, 6/1. R. A. Shayes (Britain) and Miss J. Saunders (Britain) defeated C. G. Mako (U.S.A.) and Miss J. Jedrzejowska (Poland), 6/3, 6/2. J. D. Budge (U.S.A.) and Miss Marble (U.S.A.) defeated. MacPhail and Mrs King. 6/0, 6/0. Earlier play is reported on page 6.
