OF WHISPERING CAMPAIGN AGAINST N.Z. STATEMENT BY FEDERAL PREMIER. GENERAL ATTITUDE MOST FRIENDLY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Copyright. (Recd This Day. 11.35 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Federal Prime Minister, Mr J. A. Lyons, says he is not aware of any whispering campaign in Australia against New Zealand, as alleged by Mr M. J. Savage. "I am sure no decent Australian would lend himself to any action likely to injure New Zealand credit,” Mr Lyons said. “The general attitude of Australia towards New Zealand is most friendly. The policy of the New Zealand Government is entirely a matter for New Zealand.”
