—• — —■ POWER BOARD HEAD OFFICE REPORT BEING OBTAINED (“Times-Age” Special.) Only passing mention was made at today’s meeting of the Wairarapa Elec-, trie Power to a proposal to shift the head office from Carterton .to Masterton. The Secretary-Manager, Mr G. Brown, stated that he had instructed Mr Raymond Lee to prepare an estimate on the cost involved, but he had not yet received the report. Mr W. A. Tate: “The most important thing we want to know is what benefits would accrue. Those who want the change have got to prove to us that there will be very great benefits.” The chairman, Mr A. C. Pearce: “We cannot tell that until we know what the cost would be.” Mr C. R. Holmes: “It is the consumers’ money, anyway: that is the fly in the ointment.”
