Rugby in the Moonlight. Rugby practice in the moonlight at Eskdale, a few miles north of Napier, is a necessity which has been brought about for the Eskview team as a result of the recent floods. Before the floods members of the team were able to practice with the aid of a searchlight on the Rugby ground adjacent to the Bay View Hotel, but this ground has been unplayable for some time and the club has been obliged to practice on silted property opposite the Eskdale Hall. The players have not the same lighting facilities and on Wednesday were able to carry on in the bright moonlight, the practice being confined to dribbling rushes and scrummaging.
