OLD FARM IMPLEMENTS
CAVALCADE OF AGRICULTURE. CENTENNIAL EXHIBITION MOVE. By. Telegraph—Press Association. PALMERSTON NORTH, June 21. Since the Minister of Internal Affairs, the Hon W. E. Parry, stated that there was a strong probability of some of the old agricultural implements which formed part of the cavalcade of agriculture staged by Young Farmers' Clubs at the recent National Dairy Show being used in the Centennial celebrations in 1940, a good deal of interest has been aroused in the farming community of the Manawatu district. An official of the Young Farmers' Clubs executive said co-operation would be forthcoming readily from the movement, as both young and old farmers felt gratified to think that their idea had attracted so much attention. If the scheme were attempted again many other ideas could be incorporated. Several of these had to be deleted from the original programme because of the cost involved in transporting old implements and machinery to Palmerston North.
