CARTERTON

DRUIDS LODGE.' (“Times-Age” Special.) At the usual meeting of the Totara Lodge of, Druids on Monday night, Bros H. Matson and H. J. Bassett were appointed delegates to represent the Lodge at the annual meeting of the Friendly Societies’ Hospital Association to be held in Masterton. The recent ball showed a profit of £33. A vote of condolence was passed to Bros E. J. and R. J. Bond in their recent bereavement. Sick pay and accounts were passed for payment as follows: —Friendly Societies’ Hospital Association, £35 8s; one member’s late wife, £10; sick pay, £l9 16s 8d; general, £7 10s 6d. HOCKEY CLUB COMPETITION. The competition held by the Carterton Hockey Club resulted in a win for Mr L. J. Harding, the prize being a silver tea service.
