BOXING
OSBORNE DEFEATS ADAMS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, June 20. Bert Osborne, Australian lightweight boxing champion, 9.8 J, beat Les Adams, Ashburton, 10st, on points over 15 three-minute rounds in the Town Hall tonight. There was a good attendance. The fight was not spectacular, Osborne being more effective in his close work. He won clearly, but by no means had matters his own way.
