OBITUARY
MR J. H. F. FOREMAN. The death occurred at the Masterton Hospital last night of Mr James Herbert Foster Foreman, at the age of 44 years, as the result of injuries received at Whakataki on Sunday when his car plunged over a bank. The late Mr Foreman, who was the third son of Mrs and the late Mr J. F. F. Foreman, of Ponatahi, was a keen sportsman and at one time was a prominent footballer. He had not enjoyed the best of health lately. Mr Foreman is survived by his mother and several brothers and sisters—Messrs George, Norman and John, of Awapiripiri, and Robert Foreman (Ponatahi), and Mesdames R. Paton (Matamata), D. Blatchford (Masterton), McManaway (Makuri), C. Paton (Ponatahi), and Codde (Carterton). An inquest will be opened this afternoon when evidence of identification will be given and the proceedings adjourned sine die. The funeral will take place tomorrow, leaving the Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Services, Church Street, at 2 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
