TRIAL MATCH ON MONDAY. With the object of assisting the selector, the Wairarapa Table Tennis Association will conduct a trial match in the Catholic Club Rooms on Monday, when the following players will take part:— Men: R. Clarke, W. Day, H. and N. Myers, G. Fraser (Mauriceville); J. Nichols, J. Haywood, M. Winslade, F. Bodie (Winter Sports Club); and L. Renall (Parkvale). Ladies: Misses R. and H. Winter, F. and P. Masters, N. Brown, Mesdames Hurley and Winslade (Winter Sports Club); Misses L. Phelps, F. Bliss, and Renall (Parkvale); J. Larsen and M. Wiliams (Mauriceville West); A. McGovern, M. Freeman (Mauriceville East); Mrs Jarrett (Kopuaranga), and Miss H. Rigg (Kuripuni). VISIT OF HUNGARIANS. WORLD FAMOUS PLAYERS. Not only followers of table tennis in the Wairarapa, but all those interested in sport will be pleased to hear that the Wairarapa Table Tennis Association has completed arrangements with the New Zealand Association fo the world-famous players, Viktor Barnce and Laszlo Ballak, of Hungary, to nlay in Masterton on Wednesday, July 13. The exhibition will take place in the Masterton Municipal Hall, where special arrangements will be made so that spectators may see the matches to the best advantage. The local committee has prepared an attractive programme in which some of New Zealand’s leading players as well as local players, will take part.
