HOCKEY NOTES. (“Times-Age” Special.) Hockey enthusiasts will be interested to learn that this year’s K Cup tournament will be held at Gisborne. This is the fourth tournament to be held there. In such a case, Wairarapa should. be "able to get a team away, and all those who consider themselves as likely to be asked to make the trip should make preparations now. The remainder of the itinerary of the English ladies’ tour is: Wednesday, June 22, v ( Ashburton; Saturday, June 25, v Otago; Wednesday, June 29, v Central Otago; Saturday, July 2, v Eastern; Wednesday, July 6, Ist Test, at Christchurch; Saturday, July 9, v Wellington; Tuesday, July 12, v 'Akitio, at Pongaroa; Thursday,. July 14, at Feilding; Saturday, July 16, at Wanganui (2nd Test); Thursday, July 21, 3rd Test, at Wellington. SUCCESSFUL - SHOP DAY. The Grey town District High School staff, and pupils held a very successful sports and shop day in the school grounds. The weather was gloriously fine and there was a large attendance of. parents and friends. Football and basketball games were played and a programme of races were run. The well laden mixed stall in charge of Mrs H. E. Webster and High School girls, and the produce stall of the High School boys did good' business. Afternoon tea was served in the cooking room. The receipts amounted to over £ll. GOLF EXHIBITION MATCH. A. J. Shaw, professional golfer of Masterton, who has won the New Zealand Open Golf Championship and Professional Golf Championship more times than any golf professional in New Zealand, will give an exhibition on the Greytown links on Sunday next. Shaw will be partnered by B. Kiernan and they will play H, E. Webster and J. C. Feast, of the Greytown Club. This game should be of great interest to golfers as the match should be of a very high standard as all the players are champions or ex-champions. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr apd Mrs Billman, of Kuratawhiti Street, have returned from their holidays. Nurse Dunn left today on a holiday.
