RAILWAY MISHAP
EXPRESS DELAYED SOUTH OF TIMARU. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) TIMARU, This Day. A minor mishap on the railway line at Arowhenua, just south of Temuka, delayed the south-bound express for eighteen minutes this morning. An axle broke on a crane which was being brought back to Timaru on the train from Ashburton, after having been used on the reconstruction of the Temuka bridge yesterday. The line was soon cleared and little disorganisation resulted.
