WAIRARAPA ANNUAL REPORT THE FINANCIAL POSITION Following is the 22nd annual report of the Wairarapa Patriotic Association to be presented at the annual meeting to be held in the Savage Club rooms at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday next. “The total receipts from all sources from the inception of the fund in 1915, down to March 31, 1933, amount to £227,678 17s lid, and the total payments to £202,005 16s 2d, leaving a net balance of funds in hand at this date of £25673 Is 9d, a decrease of £lB7O 9s on the previous year. “The total cost of administration is £9547 12s 2d, or 4.16 per cent of the total contributions, or 2.23 per cent or the total receipts plus total, payments. Interest from investments has yielded £39,004 18s Id gross, and £32,152 13s 4d net.. Advances to soldiers, total £101,005 17s 6d, which, less repayments £64,316 17s 9d, and writings off, £24,267 18s lid, which total £88,584 16s Bd, leaves outstanding £12,421 0s lOd. “During the year, the Claims Board sat on twenty-four occasions, following business transactions, receiving the board’s attention: —Applications for loans, 10; applications for temporary relief, 88; reconsideration of cases, 138; sundry other matters, 62; total 298. The Board extends its thanks to the branch committees for services rendered in supplying reports on various cases, and to all kindred societies for like services.”
