FEATHERSTON

CARD TOURNAMENT. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the South Featherston card tournament and dance on Thursday evening. The winners of the various competitions were as follow:- —Cards: Ladies, Mrs A. Gain 1, Mrs G. Burt 2; men, Mr Lepinski 1, Mr Rae 2. Monte Carlo, Miss J. Fenwick and Mr D. Cross 1, Miss J. Burt and Master D. Burt 2. PERSONAL ITEMS. Mr and Mrs D. Foss and Mr and Mrs C. Fenwick have returned from a motor tour of the North, where they experienced fine weather and good roads. Mr Ben Robinson, formerly of the Featherston telephone exchange, and now on the Taihape P. and T. staff, is home on holidays prior to going into camp with the Territorials at Trentham.
