Mr Hudson Fysh, Managing Directoi’ of Quantas Empire Airways said that when the tri-weekly flying-boat service came into full operation in August, there would be ample accommodation for all matter sent from New Zealand to Sydney for transit to London by air mail. The Australian Minister of Defence (Mi’ H. V. C. Thorby) was reported yesterday as stating that Australia had first claim on flying-boat space for the carriage of air mails to England and that New Zealand would have to make its own arrangements with the Quantas Company.
