WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT ALFREDTON. . ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Alfredton Women's Institute was held recently when Mrs Hull presided. Mrs Mcßay gave a very interesting travel talk. A number of views and booklets collected on the trip were passed round to the members for inspection. The competitions resulted as follows: —Best limerick, Mrs G. Napier, 1; Mrs Hull, 2; Mrs Seymour, 3. Sausage rolls, Mrs Dickens, 1; Mrs Stan Edmonds, 2; Mrs Seymour, 3. Best bloom, Mrs Didsbury, 1; Mrs G. Napier, 2; Mrs E. McLean, 3. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Mrs Mcßay for her very interesting talk. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs Stan Edmonds,. Mrs Clee and Mrs Bicknell. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
