LEAGUE OF MOTHERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the League of Mothers was held yesterday afternoon, Mrs Arch. Clark presiding over a good attendance of members. Mrs Clark introduced the speaker for the afternoon, Dr Helen Cowie, of Masterton, who gave an address on “Advice” —■ a new and interesting subject. Dr Cowie was heartily thanked for her address. . The hostesses were Mesdames J. Buck, R. Skipage, T. Davis and Wakely. The singing "of the National Anthem brought the meeting to a close. MINIATURE RIFLES. The following were the scores in the weekly competition of the Featherston Club on Tuesday night: —B. Williams 99, N. Nix 98, J. Reed 98, Miss J. Brash 98, J. Johnson 98, E. McKenzie 97, B. McKenzie 97, A. Cook 95, Miss V. Jury 95, Miss G. Brash 95, T. Browne 93, W. Fountain 90, Miss N. Thompson 90, I. Feast 89, A. McLeod 89, M. McKenzie 88, Miss N. Thompson, J. Moriarity 87, Mrs B. Skipage 84, T. Hyland 83, Mrs Morris 80. GOLF COMPETITION. The ladies played a bogey competition on the Gum Grove links on Wednesday afternoon, the results being as follow: —Miss D. Bloxam 1, Miss M. Ruane 2, Mrs Stockley and Mrs McCarthy 3. PERSONAL. Mr Ray Benton, Te Kawa, is spending a holiday with his sister, Mrs C. F.XBuck.
