WELLINGTON SUPREME COURT (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Prisoners were sentenced by Mr Justice Quilliam in the Supreme Court today as follow; —James McGown, 32, labourer,-fine of £lO for failing to stop after an accident in the Taita Gorge. Ronald Ivor Ellison, messenger, 20, two years' probation for- unlawful carnal knowledge. Leonard Cyril Ferguson, ship’s fireman, .36, 18 months’ hard labour for breaking and entering, theft and twelve months on each of three charges of- theft at Nelson, all the sentences to be concurrent.
