MINING INTERESTS
GENERAL FRANCO’S DECREE IN SPAIN. INTEREST IN GREAT BRITAIN. (Recd This Day, 1.5 p.m.) LONDON, June 15. The Australian Associated Press says considerable interest is attached to the decision of General Franco in connection with foreign mining concessions in Spain, which is expected to safeguard the future of Britain’s mining interests, including the Rio Tinto and simultaneously to prevent a German stranglehold. The decree declares that mining concessions will be granted only to Spaniards or to Spanish groups constituted and domiciled in Spain.
