OPTIMIST CLUB

PARLIAMENTARY PRACTICE. ADDRESS BY MR SYKES. Mr F. Gillions presided over a good attendance at the Optimist Club tea last evening. The speaker, Mr G. R. Sykes, who took for his subject “Parliamentary Practice,” dealt very thoroughly with the procedure adopted during the sitting of Parliament. Mr Sykes was listened to with much interest, and at the conclusion of his address was accorded a hearty vote of thanks on the motion of Mr M. Finlayson.
