FREE MILK

DISTRIBUTION TO CHILDREN AT PALMERSTON NORTH SHOW (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, June 14. More than 140 gallons of pasteurised milk were distributed free to- school children attending the winter show at Palmerston North today. Two local dairy-farmers provided the milk, which was put through the milk pasteurisation plant at Massey College and handed out to the children in half-pint cartons. V

The scheme was made possible through the co-operation of the presi-dent-secretary of the Palmerston North 50,000 Club, Mr F. Jackson, Mr P. S. Larcombe, chairman of the milk-in-schools committee, and Mr W. G. Black, officer in charge of the milk pasteurisation plant at Massey College.
