Average-sized catalogues were offered at today’s sheepskin auction and some good parcels of abattoirs and butchers’ skins were submitted. Competition was keen for all sound-pelted descriptions. Halfbreds and fine crossbreds appreciated Id to Jd a lb., and shabby, dead and damaged descriptions were fully firm on late quotations. Halfbreds sold to 9|d, fine crossbreds to 9Jd, crossbreds to 81 d, half-bred hoggets to d, and crossbred hoggets to 7Jd. Halfbred full-wool made 9Jd to 9Jd, three-quarter-wool, 81d to 83d; half-wool, 7J to 8d; quarter-wool, s£d to 6£d. Fine crossbred full-wool made B|d to 9Jd; three-quarter-wool, 7d to B|d; half-wool, 7d to BJd; quarter-wool, 5Jd to 6d; crossbred full-wool, to Bjd; three-quarter-wool, 7Jd to 83d; halfwool, 6Jd to 7Jd; quarter-wool, 5d to 6d. Hoggets: Halfbred, 7Jd to 8;‘d; crossbred, 7Jd to 7Jd; dead halfbred, 7Jd to BJd; fine crossbred, 6Jd to 7?d; crossbred, 6}d to 63d. Lambs: Halfbred, 6d to 7|d; crossbred, s?d to 6?d. Pelts: First, 3£d to 4|d; second, 2d to 2’d.
