LEAGUE OF MOTHERS’ MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special) The monthly meeting of the Greytown branch of the League of Mothers was held in the Parish Hall yesterday afternoon. Mrs A. Haigh presided over a large attendance' of members. The Glee Choir, under the direction of Mrs H. E. Webster, contributed items. Afternoon tea was served, after which Colonel R. W. Tate gave an interesting talk on Coral. He" explained the wonder and beauty of the coral reefs at Samoa. On the motion of Mrs A. W. Horton (Mayoress), Colonel Tate was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. The hostesses for the afternoon were Mesdames A. Haigh, F. J. Nichols, M. Greathead and H. G: Carter. The meeting closed with the singing of the League Hymn and the National Anthem. GREYTOWN FOOTBALL TEAM. The following will represent Greytown seniors against Gladstone at Gladstone on Saturday:—Bond, Nix, Brunton (2), Hume (3), Clark, Braggins, Stringfellow, Parker, Gayler, Hood, Maddison, Fenwick, Skeet, Flutey, Maniherar FOOTBALL JUBILEE. On Sunday, June 26, the Greytown Football Club Will commence its jubilee celebrations by attending the evening service at the Presbyterian Church. All grades have signified their intention to be present and also a large number of old members. MINIATURE RIFLES. The Greytown Club fired its weekly competition last Friday.
