MR SAVAGE’S TOUR
PLEASED WITH RECEPTION ' EVERYWHERE
VISIT TO MANAWATU (By Telegraph—Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, This Day. The Premier, (the Rt Hon M. J. Savage), this morning paid visits to the Manchester Street and Lytton Street Primary Schools; to the Convent and the Feilding Agricultural High School. He was accorded a reception at Rongotea, and then visited Sanson School on his way to Bulls, where he was given a reception- in the Town Hall. Mr Savage was accompanied by the Hon P. C. Webb and Mr C. L. Hunter, M.P., and was met by Mr O. Wilson, M.P., at Bulls. The party was given the most cordial of welcomes. The Premier, explaining that the purpose of his series of visits was to meet the residents *>f the different districts, said the receptions he had received since leaving Wellington yesterday morning gave the impression that: “If the country is against me, then I wish that to continue.”
