WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

MEETING AT TINUI. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Tinui Women’s Institute held its monthly meeting recently, Mrs Atkinson presiding over a good attendance of members. Mrs Barrer gave a very interesting talk on the character and books of Beverley Nichols. The competitions for the month resulted as follows:—Best bloom: Miss Townsend 1, Mrs Carlleton 2, Mrs Perry 3. Pikelets: Miss Townsend 1, Mrs Perry 2, Mrs Mac Alister 3. Quilted cushion: Mrs Carmen 1, Miss D. Groves 2. The hostesses for. the afternoon were Mesdames Collerton, Horsbrugh and Miles.
