MASTERTON SHOW LAMBS
' UNFAVOURABLE SEASON. AFFECTS STANDARD Messrs Henry S. Fitter & Sons report as follows on the class of 42 lambs sent to them from the 1938 show of the Masterton A. & P. (Ist at Show). Three very good well-bred lambs, full of meat, and not too fat Short legs, good backs and thick shoulders, and in our opinion the most suitable for London trade. Second: C. C. Two splendid lambs, one not quite so good. Fourth: N. Mackay & Sons. Pen 375. (4th at Show). Two very good lambs, one not quite finished.
N. W. Groves. Pen 371. Plain and unfinished. J. A. Toogood and Son. Pen 372. A fair proportion of meat but unfinished. J. A. Toogood and Son. Pen 373. Useful, but not quite finished on legs. L. E.
