AIRCRAFT ORDER

BRITISH FIRM GETS BIG CONTRACT. LONDON, June 11. The Air Ministry has placed the biggest contract for aeroplanes ever given to a British firm (it is believed to exceed 200 high-speed training machines) with Phillips and Powis Aircraft Co. The Ministry has also ordered a large number of Airspeed Oxford monoplanes from Airspeed. Ltd. Ordeis given to the De Havilland and Percival Aircraft Companies are several times in excess of those placed in the United States. The aircraft will be used for training, and the orders will be completed in two years.
