Miss J. Munro, who has been on a visit to Dannevirke, has returned to Carterton.
Mr and Mrs George Elliott, Masterton, have left on a holiday visit to Java and the East.
Mrs Ivy Hooper, of Christchurch, is on a visit to Mangamaire, and is staying with Mrs A. P. Ralph. Mrs A. W. McKenzie, of Renall Street, Masterton, was a visitor to Wellington during the week-end. Miss C. McMaster, of Church Street, Masterton, is visiting Wellington, being the guest of Mrs J. Simpson, Seatoun. Mrs J. H. Cunningham, Lansdowne, is paying a short visit to Christchurch.
Miss Claire Ronalds, of “Fairlie,” Martinborough, has returned from a holiday spent in Hawke’s Bay. Miss Williams, of Masterton, is on a visit to Wellington, where she met her niece, Miss Molly Kendall, who has returned from a trip to America. Mr and Mrs A. Ronaldson, Karori, Wellington, were week-end visitors to Masterton, where they were the guests of Mr and Mrs W. J. Gray, Herbert Street. CHILDREN’S PARTY. Mrs C. W. McMillan gave a children’s party for her daughter Judith, at her home, Renall Street, on Saturday afternoon. The children had a splendid time and, were presented with carnival hats and squeakers at the tea. Those present were Pam and Natalie Rogers, Rosmarie Pettit, Margaret Bannister, Anne Powell, Bruce Unsworth and Hugh Williams. ENGAGEMENT. WAINSCOTT—CARTER. The engagement is announced of Emily, second daughter of Mrs N. McKinnon, Parkvale, and the late Mr H. Carter, to George Edward,- second son of Mr and Mrs H. Wainscott, Masterton.
