PLUNKET SOCIETY. l" - ■ (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Eketahuna sub-branch of the Plunket Society there were present Mesdames Albrechtsen (chair), Ives, Macky, Lowes, Breech, Simmers and the secretary, Mrs Carter. An apology was received from Mrs S. M. George. The nurse’s report was read and adopted and showed the following figures for March, April and May: Visits to homes, 16, 18, 14; visits of adults to Rooms, 104, 62, 72; babies, 100, 60, 70; older children, 16, 8, 12; new babies for the month, 6,4, 2. It was decided to purchase a new cot and have the demonstration doll repaired and a new outfit made for same. OBITUARY. The death occurred at Palmerston North last week of Mrs Cowan, wife of Constable Cowan, of Eketahuna, at the age of 54 years.
