Mrs D. Gustofsen, of Rongomai, is on a visit to Auckland. Mr and Mrs R. A. Cameron, Dreyer’s Rock, are visiting Picton. Miss S. Cameron, Wangaehu, is on a holiday visit to Auckland.

Miss Nan Ussher, Wellington, is a week-end guest of Mrs S. V. Gooding, The Terrace, Lansdowne.

Miss Marjory Bloxham, of Featherston, who has been on a visit to Christchurch, has returned home. Miss Short and Miss Mavis Rose, of Upper Plain, have returned from a visit to Auckland.

Mrs R. L. Hornblow, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs W. H. Saunders, Essex Street, Masterton.

Mr and Mrs A. H. Daniell, Albert Street, Masterton, are spending the week-end at Paraparaumu Beach. Mrs D. M. Graham, Cole Street, Masterton, is staying with her daughter, Mrs R. St. Lawrence, Hawke’s Bay. Miss Nell Kendall, Wellington, who has been visiting New York and Los Angeles, returned to Wellington today.

Mrs Akers-Jones, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs J. Kennedy, Opaki Road, has returned to Lower Hutt. Mrs N. H. James, Pownall Street, Masterton, will leave for Auckland next week to stay with her daughter, Mrs S. Wilson.

In addition to a message of congratulation and good wishes from the King and Queen on- the occasion of her hundredth birthday, Mrs M. Reynolds yesterday received similar greetings from the Governor-General, Lord Galway, the Prime Minister, the Rt Hon M. J. Savage, the Mayor of Masterton, Mr T. Jordan, and Mr J. Robertson, M.P.
