COURSING

PROFIT ON LAST MEETING. At a meeting of the committee of the Wairarapa Coursing Club last night it was stated that a profit of £l4 6s had resulted from the recent St. Leger Stakes meeting.

As there were plenty of hares on hand it was decided to hold another big meeting on Saturday, June 25, when two events will be run, an open 16 dog stake for the Physick Cup and an eight-dog novice stake. The following officers were appointed: —Judge. Mr S. D. Geary; slipper, Mr W. Buick; assistant slipper, Mr D. Leete; slip steward, Mr R. McEwen; hare slipper, Mr L. Archer; call steward, Mr P. Ryan; stimulant steward,’ Mr F. Allan.
