DAIRY FARMERS
GOVERNMENT-PROMISE NOT CARRIED OUT.
STATEMENT BY CONFERENCE CHAIRMAN.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day.
Mr H. H. Meredith, chairman of the South Island Dairy Association, in his annual address said he believed he was voicing the opinion of Dominion dairy farmers when he said the Government had failed to carry out its promise to improve the economic position of dairy farmers. The evidence, he thought, was all to the contrary. It appeared to him that the Government’s main concern was to legislate lor one particular section of the community at the expense of primary producers and other sections.
