PRICES AT JOHNSONVILLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. An average yarding of cattle and a large yarding of sheep came forward at the Johnsonville sale. Extra prime heavy bullocks met with a ready sale, with prices showing no alteration on those ruling last week, while medium weight cattle were slightly easier, and light and unfinished 10s to 15s a head cheaper. The yarding of cows and heifers was of exceptionally good quality, all classes meeting with keen competition, with prices firm at late rates. Cows ex dairy were easier to the extent of 5s to 10s a head. Prime quality wethers met with spirited competition, with prices firm to the extent of Is a head, while light wethers and unfinished were slightly easier. There was a good demand for prime weight ewes, while unfinished ewes were not wanted even as reduced rates. The following are realisations: — Prime extra heavy bullocks, £l7 to £l6 ss; prime heavy bullocks, £l5 15s; heavy bullocks, £l5 5s to £l3 18s; bullocks, £l3 5s to £ll 18s; extra prime heavy cows and heifers, £lO to £8 17s 6d; prime heavy 'cows and heifers, £8 12s 6d to £8 Is; cows and heifers, £7 16s to £6 12s; yealers, £2 7s to 22s 6d. Prime extra heavy wethers, 30s to 275; prime heavy wethers, 26s lOd to 26s 3d; medium wethers, 25s 9d to 24s 8d; prime extra heavy ewes, 25s 6d to 25s 2d; prime heavy ewes, 24s lOd to 22s 8d; medium ewes, 21s 6d to 18s lOd; heavy lambs, 22s 6d to £1; light lambs, 18s 6d to 17s. * ADDINGTON VALUES FAT SHEEP FIRMER (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, June 8. Entries were smaller than usual at today’s Addington stock market, the store sheep entry being the smallest of the season. For these there was dragging competition, even forward wethers, which had been selling well for some time, being little inquired for. The best of the two-tooth wethers sold at 235, others down to 20s, and inferior down to 16s. Two-tooth ewes sold to 26s 3d, and ewe hoggetsto 18s 4d. Fat lambs sold well if reasonably conditioned, exporters buying freely at up to 8d a lb.

Fat sheep: There was a general im-

provement of from Is to Is 6d a head. Best wethers brought 20s; best ewes, from 21s to 245; tops, to 275; prime med-ium-weight, 21s to 245; ordinary, down to 14s 6d; light, down to 11s. Exporters were actively in the market for light ewes. Fat cattle: Prime quality maintained recent rates, but all other classes were easier by 10s to 15s a head. Good steers made from £l3 to £l5; tops, to £l7; odd good medium-weights, £l2 to £l3; best heifers, £8 to £9 ss; tops, to £ll 15s; light, down to £6; good cows, £7 10s to £8 15s; tops, to £11; light, down to £4 ss.

Fat pigs: Porkers showed little change in values, making from 31s 6d to 51s 6d, an average price a lb of 6-}d to 6|d; baconers, £3 Is 6d to £5 9s 6d, an average price a lb of 6Jd to 7d.
