TEAMS MATCH. METHODIST DEFEAT NOMADS. In a match between the Methodist and Nomads teams played last evening in the Drill Hall, the Methodist team won by 9 games to 3. The scores were as follow (Methodist players being mentioned first in each case): —
Combined doubles.—Mrs Barns and Handyside beat Mrs Forsyth and R. Hughes, 21/11; Miss O’Donnell and Greenwood beat Mrs Prior and Hurley, 21/13; Miss Snadden and Barns beat Mrs Drew and E. Fallon, 21/16; Miss L. Cocker and. Brader beat Mrs Dove and Dove, 21/10; Miss C. Donald and Volheim beat Mrs Lamont and Lamont, 21/12; Miss Watkins and Greig lost to Mrs Hart and Hart, 16/21.
Men’s doubles.—Handyside and Greenwood beat Hughes and Hurley, 21/12; Barns and Brader beat Fallon and Dove, 21/4; Volheim and Greig beat Lamont and Hart, 21/15. Ladies doubles. —Mrs Barns and Miss L. Cocker lost to Mrs Forsyth and Mrs Prior, 3/15; Miss O’Donnell and Miss C. Donald beat Mrs Drew and Mrs Dove, 15/8; Miss Snadden and Miss Watkins lost to Mrs Hart and Lamont, 9/15.
