EKETAHUNA

FAREWELL GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) On Monday night the Odd Fellows’ Lodge tendered a farewell to Bros. L. Cooper and J. Cooper, who will leave shortly to reside at Rotorua. At unsuitable interval in the proceedings, Bro. Gyde, on behalf of the lodge, extended the best wishes of the members for the future welfare of the departing brethren. He referred to the splendid record held by Bro. L. Cooper, who during his 16 years membership had passed through the chairs no less than three times, as well as having occupied the Past Grands’ Lodge chairs. He had represented the Lodge at Grand Lodge conferences and had been a very valuable member. Bro. Gyde mentioned that Bro. J. Cooper had been a member of the lodge for some 47 years. He referred to Bro. L. Cooper's illness and expressed the hope that he would make a speedy recovery. He called upon Mrs L. Cooper to accept a travelling bag on behalf of Bro. L. Cooper. To Bro. J. Cooper he presented a travelling rug. Bro. J. Cooper suitably replied on behalf of Bro. L. Cooper and himself. SEVEN-A-SIDE FOOTBALL.
