SUITCASE MURDER
REMAND UNTIL WEDNESDAY NEXT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. A further remand till Wednesday next was granted by Mr J. H. Luxford S.M., today in the case of Douglas Alexander Armstrong, charged with the murder of his father. Mr Cunningham, Crown Prosecutor, said he had just received the files, but had not yet had time to prepare his case. He asked for a remand till next Wednesday and said he- would then be ready to proceed.
Mr H. F. O’Leary, who was appearing for the accused, was unfortunately placed because of the Ratana railway accident inquiry, but should be in a position next Wednesday to fix a date for the Magistrate’s Court hearing. Mr D. Foster appeared for the accused today.
