OPTIMIST CLUB

THE ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY. AN INTERESTING SURVEY. An interesting survey of the art of photography, its history and its uses, was given at the weekly meetmg of the Masterton Y.M.C.A. Optimist Club last night by Mr H. Hope Cross, who was the guest of the club. Mr Cross traced the development of photography throughout the,, last hundred years, and gave an insight into the part which it plays in aerial survey work, astronomy, and numerous other activities in the world of today. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr Cross for his address.
