WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MT BRUCE MEETING (“Times-Age" Special.) The Mt Bruce Women’s Institute held its May meeting in the Hall, Mrs R. E. Campbell presiding. The roll call, “hints on pastry making” brought forth many useful ideas. Mrs F. W. Joblin, Gladstone, demonstrated bead bags, and had with her a large assortment of bags in various stages of making. Competitions resulted as follows: — Apple Pies: Miss M. West 1, Mrs H. West 2; Silver Beet, Mrs D. McLachlan 1. Mrs R. E. Campbell 2; Blooms, Miss Campbell 1, Miss Reader 2.
The hostesses for the afternoon were Mrs H. West and Miss Campbell.
