LEAGUE TOUR
QUESTION OF ALUMINIUM SPRIGS (Recd This Day, 10.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The General Committee of the New South Wales Rugby League has decided to raise no objections to the Kiwis wearing aluminium sprigs on their boots in the match against New South Wales on Saturday. The decision was made after the sprigs had been demonstrated to the committee, which, however, decided to instruct the referees to inspect each of the players’ boots before they take the field, to make sure that the sprigs are not broken or liable to scratch. Mr Redwood stated all his men are in good condition.
