Five insurgent planes bombed Alicante, killing seventeen, peisons, including nine women and a child, and setting fire to the British cargo . vessel, St. Winifred, killing five of her crew, two of whom were Lascars. Several other members of the crew were injured. FLIGHT OVER FRANCE. BATTERIES FIRE WARNING SHOTS. PRIME MINISTER INVESTIGATING RAIDS. (Received This Day, 9.35 a.m.) PERPIGNAN, June 6. Nine Spanish planes flew over French territory, French anti-aiicraft suns fired warning shots and rockets and the planes returned. TheSrime Minister, M. Daladier, accompanied by a military adviser, left by air for Toulouse, to investigate yesterday’s raids.
