WEDDING
VERRALL—LENIHAN. . The wedding took place recently at the Sacred Heart Church, Petone, of Marie Zita, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Lenihan, of Carterton, to John Frederick, eldest son of Mr and Mrs G. F. Verrail, of Petone. The Rev. Father O'Donnell performed the ceremony, and also celebrated Nuptial Mass. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore an ensemble of powder blue silk, with hat and shoes to match, and carried a bouquet of blue and white flowers and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaid, Miss L. Lenihan, wore a lemon silk costume with satin blouse of royal blue in waistcoat effect, and also carried a bouquet of autumn flowers. Mr E. Verrail was best man.
On leaving the church the bride was presented with a blue and white horseshoe by Eileen Brislee. The reception was held in the Parish Hall, where' the guests were received by Mrs Lenihan. She was assisted by the bridegroom’s mother.
