FEILDING SALE. SHEEP PRICES IMPROVE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) FEILDING, 'June 3. There was a decided improvement in the sale today for sheep at Feilding, all lines making good values. Another heavy penning of fat sheep came forward, but this did not detract from the demand for top quality lines. Store sheep sold particularly well, both ewes and lambs going up considerably in price. Cattle prices were fully firm for all prime lines. Dairy cattle were not up to last week’s quality, and brought lower prices. The following were realisations: — 1 Fat sheep: Ewes, heavy prime, 23s 3d to 24s Id; second grade, 18s 6d to 19s 9d; unfinished, 16s 3d to 18s 3d; extra prime lambs, 29s Id; prime, 22s 4d to 24s 4d; medium prime, 20s to 225; light, 16s to t9s 4d; best wethers, 26s 6d to 27s 6d; second quality, 24s to 25s 6d; light, 19s to 23s lOd. Store sheep: Best wether lambs, 18s 7d to 20s 3d; good seconds, 16s 7d to 18s 3d; others, 12s to 16s Id; b.f. similar, good, 15s 6d to 17s 9d; small, Ils 2d to 13s; well-grown ewes, 25s Id t0,27s 9d; others, 20s to 20s 9d; forward two-tooth wethers, 24s 3d; two-tooth ewes, to 395; extra good five-year ewes, r.w. S.D. rams, 25s ,9d to 27s 6d; second grade, 19s to 245; four-year ewes, 29s to 29s 9d; fiveyear, 33s 3d; four-tooth ewes, to 325. Dairy cattle: Springing cows, best, £6; others, £3 5s to £4 ss; springing heifers, good, £6 5s to £8 10s; backward, £4 10s to £6; cows in milk, £5. Store cattle: Weaner Jersey heifers, £2 19s; weaner P.A. heifers, £2 12s 6d; 20-month Shorthorn heifers, £5 Is; forward P.A. cows, £5 10s; Shorthorn, £6; backward Herefords, £3 15s; boner cows, best, £4 to £4 10s; poor, £1 10s to £3 Ils.

Fat cattle: Light prime P.A. cows, £9; others, £6 to £6 15s; light prime Herefords, £9; Shorthorn heifers, £6 10s; good Red PoU heifers, £7 to £8 15s; light steers, £5 12s 6d to £8 7s 6d; mixed colours, heavy bullocks, £9 12s 6d to £ll 12s 6d; vealers, £2 7s to £2 15s.
